Thank you for taking the time to read about Hope's Road. I hope you find the information helpful in deciding the best ways to help care for your family. I strive to help clients feel as comfortable as possible as they enter the therapy process, so please feel free to contact me with questions via the Contact page or by email. Here is some specific information about me:
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Milligan College (now University) and a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University. I have also completed a year and a half of doctoral work and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Indiana.
My therapy experience is with children (age 3 and up), teenagers, families, and adult females, using mainly play, art, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems therapy techniques. While in grad school, I volunteered as a group counselor for Caring Arts, a program that utilizes art, music, movement, and interactive stories to provide tools and resources to children with emotional disabilities. As an intern, I taught parenting classes for court-ordered parents at Lutheran Child and Family Services in Indianapolis and worked in Ball State's community counseling clinic, providing services to children and their families who had a variety of needs. From 2007-2011, I worked at the Counseling Center at White River Christian Church with children, adults, and families and also conducted all intakes for new clients at the counseling center to help them find the best therapeutic fit. After the counseling center closed in 2011, I opened Hope's Road. I am a member of the Star Behavioral Health Provider registry, which provides services for military families and a Clinical Advisory Board member at The Cherish Center in Noblesville. From 2016-2018, I facilitated the Children In Between classes for divorcing parents and their children in Madison County. In my spare time, I volunteer in a kindergarten classroom at a local elementary school and a community art center/local artist collective in Anderson. You also may have seen me (and the office) on the Upstairs Downtown tour and during the Stuff Your Stocking and Diva Night events here on the square in Noblesville.
My current clients mainly consist of teenagers, college students, and young adults but I work with a variety of ages.
My husband Evan and I have been married for 18 years and have 3 senior pups. We are animal lovers who also enjoy traveling, photography, food, and spending time with family and friends.
